It is possible that on your Global Settings > Properties > Sender Filtering tab you have "Filter Messages with a Blank Sender" checked. Try unchecking that option and try to send the message again. It seems that the receiving server is trying to do a pingback verification with an email that has a blank sender and the server is dropping the email.
